Group Short-Term Psychotherapy
promotes self-awareness by enhancing reflective capacity. The group work aims to leverage the individual's resources, helping them find resolutions to their problems in a short time frame.
The therapeutic effects
are primarily:
- promoting a greater understanding of oneself and one’s identity, untangling unresolved issues that create discomfort and hinder the current life path.
- bringing enrichment through the exchange and productive confrontation of participants via sharing, mirroring, and the relational dynamics involved.
It is aimed at adults with:
• anxiety disorders,
• psychosomatic disorders,
• reactive depression due to critical life stages (separations, grief, losses, work-related stress…),
• relational difficulties,
• lack of self-esteem,
• a desire to gain greater self-knowledge.
The goals of the sessions
are:
• observation and description of emotions
• observation and analysis of personal needs
• identification and management of conflictual issues
• intervention in dysfunctional interpersonal relationships
• experiential exercises proposed by the facilitators
To participate in the group, a preliminary interview with the psychologist is required, by appointment to be arranged at the Corte della Salute Medical Centre.
The maximum number of participants is 8-10 people.
The sessions are held weekly for 10 sessions.
The meetings will take place in the evening on a weekday.
