GYNECOLOGY

GYNECOLOGY

Gynaecology is the branch of medicine that deals with diseases of the female genital system.
At "Corte della Salute," comprehensive answers to the various issues women face at every stage of life can be found, as well as prevention of genital and breast cancers.
Focusing on the patient and their specific concerns, our goal is to diagnose and treat the main gynaecological conditions:
  • Menstrual cycle anomalies, genital infections, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, menopause
  • Prevention, treatment, and management of endometriosis
  • Gynaecological pelvic and transvaginal examination and ultrasound
  • Pregnancy monitoring with periodic fetal ultrasound for the perinatal diagnosis of congenital malformations
  • Obstetric consultation and obstetric ultrasound
  • Morphological ultrasound
  • Contraception
  • Pap smear, HPV Test
  • Vaginal and cervical swabs
NON-INVASIVE PRENATAL DIAGNOSTICS
There are many prenatal tests, and sometimes it is difficult for parents to navigate through them. Congenital disorders are not common, but the risk is present in any pregnancy.

The combined test (nuchal translucency + bi-test) helps identify fetuses at risk of chromosomal abnormalities, particularly trisomy 21. The high accuracy and absence of risks for both the mother and the fetus make genetic ultrasound + bi-test the ideal screening test for trisomy 21, offering personalised risk assessment based on individual circumstances rather than just maternal age.

The fetal DNA test is a more recent tool. It assesses the free fetal DNA present in the maternal blood to estimate the likelihood of chromosomal abnormalities, with the most common being Down syndrome (trisomy 21). This test can also provide insights into other chromosomal abnormalities, such as trisomy 13 and trisomy 18. Additionally, it can evaluate the sex chromosomes (X and Y), enabling the determination of the fetus's genetic sex and identifying possible numerical anomalies in the sex chromosomes.
